چکیده

Cold stress has become one of the main abiotic stresses in pepper, which severely limits growth and development pepper. In this study, physiological indicators transcriptome a cold-tolerance (CT) inbred line A188 cold-sensitive (CS) A122 under cold–rewarm treatments were studied; aim study was to determine potential key factors pepper response cold stress. Compared with CT, CS wilts more seriously after stress, poor resilience, higher content malondialdehyde, lower soluble sugar total chlorophyll. Moreover, during treatment, 7333 5953 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) observed for CT CS, respectively. These DEGs significantly enriched pathways related photosynthesis, plant hormone signal transduction, DNA damage repair. Interestingly, addition widely studied transcription cold, it also found that 13 NAC increased T4 group; meanwhile, NAC8 (Capana02g003557) NAC72 (Capana07g002219) than those rewarming 1 h 72 treatment. Notably, weighted gene coexpression network analysis identified four positively correlated modules eight hub genes, including zinc finger proteins, heat shock 70 kda protein, cytochrome P450 family, are tolerance. All these may be responsible even tolerance

Proteome analysis of bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) chromoplasts.

We report a comprehensive proteome analysis of chromoplasts from bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The combination of a novel strategy for database-independent detection of proteins from tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) data with standard database searches allowed us to identify 151 proteins with a high level of confidence. These include several well-known plastid proteins but also novel protei...

Cloning and characterization of the CarbcL gene related to chlorophyll in pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) under fruit shade stress

Light is an important environmental factor for fruit development and ripening in pepper plant. Fruit bagging is a significant agrotechnology practiced for the illumination regulation of fruits; some previous researches have shown that fruit bagging could improve the appearance and external quality of fruits and cause them to mature early. However, it would decrease the intrinsic qualities of fr...

Genome-Wide Identification and Analysis of the SBP-Box Family Genes under Phytophthora capsici Stress in Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

SQUAMOSA promoter binding protein (SBP)-box genes encode plant-specific transcription factors that are extensively involved in many physiological and biochemical processes, including growth, development, and signal transduction. However, pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) SBP-box family genes have not been well characterized. We investigated SBP-box family genes in the pepper genome and characterized ...

The Antimutagenic and Antioxidant Effects of Red Pepper Seed and Red Pepper Pericarp (Capsicum annuum L.)

In this study, we examined the antimutagenicity of red pepper seed and red pepper pericarp ethanol extracts using the standard Ames test in the presence and absence of S9 mix. The extracts showed inhibitory effects on both the TA98 and TA100 Salmenella Typhimurium strains against the mutagenic activity of promutagen 2-aminoa nthracene, and were also protective against the directly acting mutage...

Anther Culture of Pepper (capsicum Annuum L.) : Comparative Study on Effect of the Genotype

There were investigated and compared the in vitro response in anther culture of 16 Bulgarian pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes: six lines, six varieties and four hybrids developed in Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute, Plovdiv. The anthers reacted with induction of direct embryogenesis or callusogenesis. Only in two of the studied genotypes (line N145 and variety Zlaten medal) the a...
